f you need something to help you review and practice the things you have learned in class, here's a great web site which has animations of all the moves in the Mainstream and Plus Programs and it's free.

The animation can get a little confusing unless you use it as follows;

  1. Pick a color
  2. Select one of the symbols (men are square and ladies are circles)
  3. Watch your symbol as it moves through the call

Here is an on-line animation that uses actual photographs. some find it easier top work with. http://www.remus.dti.ne.jp/~jsda/sdtext/basicpro-eng.html

Here is a second source of help if you want to practice with a group or just review the calls that you have learned in class. These are video tapes made with teaching callers and real dancers.

 There is a new CD on the market that has animated figures for the Basic, Mainstream and Plus programs that looks promising. It is very reasonably priced and the developer has received positive comments from a number of callers
